NASHVILLE-RECORDING AT THE BOMB SHELTER!

So, we're back in New York now, after three incredible weeks in Nashville. It was my fifth time there, and each time I go, the great memories just keep multiplying. This time I met with my producer and dear friend, Jonah Tolchin (Sky) to record my second record, together with a cast of phenomenal musicians including:  Brent Burke-Dobro, Joachim  Cooder-Drums/Percussion, Jon Estes-Bass/Guitar/Piano/Organ/Percussion, Annie Johnson-Vocals,  Laur Joamets-Guitar, Will Kimborough-Mandolin, Marie Lewey-Vocals, Eamon McLaughlin-Fiddle/Viola/Cello, Matt Murphy-Bass,  Kim Richie-Vocals, Danny Roaman-Guitar, Chris Scruggs-Steel Guitar, Jonah Tolchin-Lap Steel/Guitar, Kyle Tuttle-Banjo, and Cindy Walker-Vocals. We all hunkered down in The Bomb Shelter studio from December 3rd through December 14h, with Recording/Mixing Engineer Billy Bennett, at the helm (who, aside from being a masterful engineer and a super-great human, also happens to be the field-goal kicker in We Are Marshall!) and together, we recorded and mixed the entire record in just 12 days. The experience was surreal... transformative... unifying... effortless… and profound. In fact, this record captures every magical moment in a journal of the sound, time, friendship and passion which we all created and now share. I am forever grateful to Jonah, and equally for everyone who participated in, and made this experience and recording possible and real.  Billy B. personally flew the tapes to LA a few days ago, for mastering, and we're all eagerly waiting to hear them in their final form.  I hope you all will keep an ear out for the release, and enjoy sharing it with us over and over again. For those of you who'd like to hear and see more, keep a look-out on line as well, for the video documentary of these amazing recording sessions. We hope to have it ready and posted soon! So many great things are in the works. Stay tuned! All the best, Bill S.
