We were back in the studio on Sunday and Monday working on the basic tracks for a new song called "We Are Love". I had written the music, the first two verses and the chorus for this song on 10/8/12. When researching some of the lyrical references I had written, I was led to a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson titled "The Lady of Shalott." I didn't expect to wind up there but, after reading further, I was inspired to write the third verse and finished writing the song on 10/9/12. For Tuesday's and Wednesday's studio seesions we went back to the tracks for the Just The Same album. We completed the drum track for "The Difference" and added a piano track which really pulled the whole song together very nicely. A few finishing touches on this one and it'll be good to go!
